When Dr. Cloud began building his modern Casper home with sweeping mountain views, one element was non-negotiable: a serene, safe, therapeutic spa his wife could enjoy with ease. What started as a beautiful architectural plan quickly turned into a complex challenge — and that’s when Wyo Spas stepped in.
At the heart of the home sits a stunning 12′ by 18′ indoor SwimEx Paddle Pool, intentionally designed for therapeutic movement and effortless accessibility. The pool features a zero-elevation entry — no steps, no lip, no ledge — creating a seamless, spa-like environment that makes getting in and out simple, safe, and comfortable for daily use.
What truly sets this pool apart is the SwimEx paddlewheel system. Unlike traditional propeller-based swim systems, SwimEx uses a paddlewheel that pulls water from the rear and pushes it forward, creating a wide, smooth, river-like current. The result is a consistent, turbulence-free flow that can be precisely adjusted for everything from gentle rehabilitation to more advanced fitness, making it ideal for long-term wellness and therapy.
The minimalist aesthetic of the home guided every decision — clean lines, understated luxury, and an emphasis on unobstructed views. The pool’s placement allows natural light to pour in while framing the surrounding mountain landscape, transforming the space into a private at-home retreat that feels calm, intentional, and deeply restorative.

When Wyo Spas joined the project, construction had already begun — and one critical issue stood out immediately.
The pool vision included a Mizu automatic pool cover, a premium safety cover that disappears into the floor when not in use. But installing a Mizu system requires room for a recessed motor and housing unit. The existing design included a major floor beam placed exactly where the cover’s mechanical system needed to go.
Without rethinking the structure, the design wouldn’t work.
This is where Wyo Spas’ expertise made the biggest impact.
Working closely with the electrician and engineering team, we helped reconfigure the support beam, adjust the surrounding floor plan, and create a safe, structurally sound space for the Mizu system — all without compromising the clean, modern design of the home.
It’s the kind of challenge that can stall a project. Instead, it became a signature feature of the finished build.
For this project, the Mizu system wasn’t just a design choice — it was a safety and wellness decision.
Mizu automatic covers provide:
– A reliable physical barrier to keep children and pets safe
– Ease of use, opening and closing with the tap of a button
– Energy efficiency, helping maintain heat in Wyoming’s colder weather
– A seamless minimalist look, completely hidden when not in use
For a family focused on wellbeing, safety, and simplicity, it was the perfect fit.

Because Wyo Spas came in mid-project, collaboration was essential. Our team worked directly alongside the builder and electrician to ensure every component — from wiring to structure to installation — worked smoothly within the modern home’s design.
Dr. Cloud didn’t just need a pool installed. He needed a partner who could solve problems, adapt quickly, and protect the design vision he had worked so hard to create.
That’s exactly what we delivered.

The best part? Wyo Spas isn’t stepping away now that construction is complete.
We will continue to provide ongoing service, maintenance, and support for the Cloud family’s spa — ensuring performance, safety, and a consistent therapeutic experience for years to come. When Dr. Cloud has a question, needs support, or wants to upgrade, Wyo Spas will be his first call.
